"MOST INNOVATIVE LEARNING PRACTICES 2018”

Pioneer Convergence 2019

Date: 21st and 22nd September 2019

Venue: Pune Institute of Business Management [PIBM]

PIBM brought together thought leaders from various fields of business management to discuss and contribute to the understanding of issues related to economic growth, organisational change, innovation, entrepreneurship, human resource, and leadership.

With the recent slowdown in economic growth, innovation and entrepreneurship have become two increasingly important areas of economic and management research. Growth results from the efforts of innovators and entrepreneurs, with new ideas replacing old ones. This is accelerated with the adoption of new technology and development of a creative organisational culture.

In this changing context, the Human Resource (HR) function also needs a strategic overhaul. It needs to be ‘reinvented’ and positioned in terms of all aspects of people and relations in an organisational context. Hence, understanding the existing state of affairs of the HR function and to give meaning to a future ideal positioning for the function becomes an imperative.

Today’s gig and sharing economy have posed bigger challenges in attracting creative talent and managing the new age workers. Virtual teams and leadership development strategies to manage teams are also undergoing a sea change.

This two-day event took place on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd September 2019 at PIBM Campus in Pirangut (Lavasa Road), Pune.
